A 1960s Conn organ console was refinished and totally re-fitted as a Phoenix model PT 236. The American walnut cabinetry is beautiful once again and new life was given to an organ that could easily have been discarded.
The original Conn, like the one pictured at bottom right, was refinished and new walnut panels replace dated grill fabric covered ones. The keyboards, expression pedals and stop tabs were replaced, along with the new Phoenix system and addition of 5 Syndyne toe pistons and Klann thumb pistons. There are four specifications including English, Baroque, French and Orchestral. The completed instrument is pictured centre right.
