QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY THEOLOGICAL HALL CHAPEL

Kingston, Ontario, Canada
PD 220

Queen’s is one of Canada’s prestigious universities, and located in historic Kingston, Ontario. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, the city is known for it’s many 19th century limestone buildings.

Phoenix Organs was asked to build a custom instrument for the University’s Theological Hall Chapel. The 20 stop drawknob organ has two audio channels consisting of an active floor loaded woofer and two of Phoenix' AcoustiCubes hung from the ceiling beams at the rear of the chapel.

Dr. James Miller and Phoenix’ Donald Anderson designed two specifications to suit the small chapel. Specification two becomes a quaint Baroque instrument giving the impression of playing a free standing tracker organ.

Crafted with Integrity and Uncommon Care.
