St. Alphonsus had a limited budget for a new church organ. It was decided Phoenix Organs would retrofit the aging Rodgers organ. In two weeks, Phoenix Organs refinished the console, fitted it with new keyboards, new thumb pistons and rails, expression pedal, fitted the pedalboard with a hall effect sensor contact system, installed new stop tab rail, amplifier and speakers and, most importantly, a new Phoenix system. The organ now has high quality pipe samples for all three specifications, a sound that fills the church and a more extensive combination action with 16 memories.
The old organ had a dated acoustic fabric on the back panel and the panel above the pedalboard. Phoenix replaced both fabric panels with new walnut ones.
