ST. STANISLAUS KOSTKA RC CHURCH

Pittsburgh, PA
PDL 345

This large, historic, downtown church, known as 'The Saints in the Strip', is the home to a new three manual, 45 stop Phoenix Organ, with 4 specifications (English/American Romantic, German, French and Organ/Orchestral) and 8 audio channels.

The organ is located in the galleryand speakers were placed high on platforms behind the pipe facade. The pipe organ was removed many years ago and the builder is not known. The church plans a recital program and to make the organ available for University students to play and have student recitals. The city is home to Dusquesne University which has a fine Music Program.

At centre right, the beautiful ceiling and chancel area, and, at bottom right, Donald Anderson voices the organ.

Please watch this video of Donald Anderson playing the orchestral specification on the St. Stanislaus organ.
